St Minver won the toss and chose to bowl in bright conditions, however, St Blazey had a fairly solid start reaching 80-1 at the halfway point of their innings. After drinks St Minver did a good job of keeping the runs down as St Blazey looked to push on. Warwick Abrahim in particular bowled tightly whilst also following on from Dennis Brown’s early wicket with two of his own. A decent catch from Antony Ash and another death bowling spell from Jake Grubb (2 wickets) meant St Blazey finished their innings on 213-6.
A very fast start to the St Minver innings from openers Ben Hawken and Ryan Pooley set St Minver up for a comfortable run chase. The major partnership of the innings came from Pooley and Warwick Abrahim with both players making decent fifties, and Warwick going on to top score with 73. Another solid unbeaten 20 from Rob Hawken supported by Luke Osborne who had a similar score ensured St Minver completed their run chase just 3 wickets down with 8 overs to spare.
